My name is Marissa
I'm a graphic designer/artist who lives in the small town of Assonet, In 2009, I received a BFA in Graphic Design and Technology from Emmanuel College. Since then, I've been trying everything I can to stay creative. Aside from my work as a Graphic Designer, I can be found creating jewelry, painting, taking pictures, and drawing. I've always been fond of the arts and also participate in a local theatre group, The Collective NB, in New Bedford, MA
Precision Images, Inc.
Graphic Design Manager
2010 - present
Precision Images, Inc. proudly states itself as a service bureau that offers an array of services for its customers. While working there, I have been encouraged to grow as a designer and printing professional by learning new techniques with large format printers and direct-imaging processes. I have also learned a great deal about the etching industry by creating photo-film tools that are used for etching metal materials in both the industrial and decorative applications. It is with these experiences that I have been able to learn about the jewelry industry and different methods of jewelry formation. This has furthermore lead me to start designing my own materials.
2009 - 2010
I began working at SOCO as an intern after graduating from college. After a couple of months, I was offered a position to work as a production assistant where I was able to oversee and learn about the ins and outs of putting a printed magazine together. I helped create ads for sponsors/customers, re-designed logos, and previewed the layout of the pages towards the end of each month.
Over the years, I've built a strong admiration for the theatrical arts with performing on stage and taking part in various design work including Set Design and Painting, Poster Design, and Prop/Mask Design. I've worked with several local theatre groups inlcuding:
The Village Players
Emmanuel College Theatre Group
The Apponequet Players
The Little Theater of Fall River
The Laurel Tree Players
The Collective NB
